Job Description Overview: The Spanish Language Instructor will be responsible for providing high- quality instruction in conversational Spanish to students for improving communication skills that are needed in the workplace setting. The instructor must report and maintain documentation of students grades, progress, attendance, and performance. Perform other duties that are assigned. Develop lesson plans that revolve around Spanish vocabulary and grammar. The Instructor must have a strong background in communication skills, writing, and speaking in both Spanish and English. The Instructor must have a strong passion for teaching, supporting, and preparing students to reach their educational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate students on Spanish vocabulary and grammar to improve communication skills in the workplace for both management and workers.
  • Educate students on vocabulary that is irrelevant to technical and occupational terms.
  • Educate students on pronunciation of terms required by business and industry.
  • Educate students on appropriate use of Spanish language structures.
  • Provides an engaging, supportive, and positive learning environment.
  • Clearly establishes expectations for learning and achievement.
  • Communicates well with students and staff.
  • Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, maintain student progress, performance and records.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support program goals and student success.
  • Keep track of students attendance, participation, progress and grades.
  • Able to develop daily lesson plans and design learning activities.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master degree in Spanish.
  • Great communication, verbal, written, and computer skills in English and Spanish.
  • Bilingual
  • Patient, flexible, positive, consistent, cooperative, and dependable.
  • Must be able to work evenings if needed.
