About the job:
Job Title: Dog Boarding Coordinator
Location: Lee, NH
Employment Type: Full-time (30-40 hours/week)
Boarding Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 7:00 pm; Weekends & Holidays 10 am – NOON & 4pm – 6pm. Staffed 24/7, 365 days per year.
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday with ONE overnight shift ; Weekends & Holidays required (e.g. Friday & Saturday or Sunday & Monday). Flexibility required.
Pay: $15.00 per hour base plus tips averaging $2.00 per hour after training period. Once the training period is complete, pay goes up to $17/hour. Holiday pay is Time & 1/2 $

Responsibilities:
- Lead, Manage, Accountability: Provide clear leadership and direction for the dog boarding team, ensuring all aspects of care for the dogs are executed with precision and compassion. Set high standards for care, team performance, and client communication. Manage day-to-day operations by overseeing the team, ensuring protocols are followed, and maintaining accountability for the well-being of each dog. Lead by example, fostering a culture of empathy, attention to detail, and exceptional service, ensuring that the unique needs of each pup are met consistently.
- Operations Architect: Design and oversee the day-to-day boarding operations, ensuring all processes are streamlined, efficient, and effective. Continuously evaluate and refine workflows to maintain a seamless boarding experience for both dogs and staff. Present any proposed process refinements or new implementations to the manager for approval, ensuring all changes align with Take Five Dogcare’s standards before they are introduced.
- Service Provider: Ensure every dog in the boarding facility receives exceptional care and attention, managing their needs with professionalism and compassion. Lead the team in delivering services that enhance the overall boarding experience, creating a nurturing and comfortable environment for all dogs.
- Client Experience & Education Expert: Engage with clients to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring they are informed and confident in the boarding services their pets receive. Educate clients on boarding options, enrichment offerings, processes, and any special needs their pets may have, building trust and fostering long-term relationships.
- Issue Resolver: Act as the first point of contact for resolving any issues or conflicts that arise within the dog boarding facility. Approach problems with a solution-oriented mindset, swiftly addressing concerns to maintain a positive and productive environment for both clients, dogs, and staff. When more complex or sensitive issues arise, escalate them to the manager for further guidance and resolution, ensuring that all concerns are handled effectively and in alignment with company standards.
- Safety & Emergency Response Coordinator: Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs, staff, and clients within the boarding environment. Develop and propose safety protocols for managerial approval, and once approved, implement and enforce them to maintain a secure environment. Take charge of emergency response efforts when necessary, and proactively address safety concerns, always seeking managerial input to ensure alignment with Take Five Dogcare’s safety standards.
- Training Facilitator: Lead training sessions for new team members and provide ongoing education to ensure they are well-versed in Take Five Dogcare’s processes, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Empower staff with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
- Experience with animals
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Pet CPR/First Aid certification (company paid) within 90 days
- Benefits:
Overnight shift pay ranges from $68.88 to $100+, depending on hours worked in regular work week. - Optional health insurance including dental & vision after waiting period
