Motion Designer and Animator

General Description

We are seeking a talented Motion Designer and Animator to join our growing team and contribute to the design of client websites. Working alongside designers, content strategists, developers, and the tech team, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling animated elements that inform, engage, and captivate our target audience. You are skilled in production design, including animation, video editing, AI video creation and HTML/CSS work to enhance page design and storytelling with beautiful animations.

Roles and responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and content strategists to understand the website concept and user experience goals.
• Develop storyboards and animatics for website animations, explainer videos, and interactive elements that tell a complicated story in a visually compelling and easy to understand way.
• Create and edit short compelling explainer videos that effectively communicate a process or sequence of steps with emotion and a human touch.
• Design and animate engaging 2D/3D graphics in Adobe After Effects (or similar software) that align with the brand identity and website design.
• Integrate motion graphics seamlessly with the website’s user interface (UI) for a smooth user experience.
• Maintain a high level of quality and consistency throughout all animated assets.
• Participate in design reviews and actively contribute creative ideas.
• Collaborate with web developers to ensure seamless integration of animations and videos into the website.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia, Interactive Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Portfolio showcasing strong skills in motion design and animation.
• Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken) for active participation in team discussions and client communication.

• Familiarity with UX/UI principles and how animations impact user experience

Web Design Principles

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in animation or video production.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Proven experience with motion graphics and special effects.
• Familiarity with B2B marketing and software industry a plus.
• Experience working remotely and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams is preferred.
