About the job:
Our Amazing Restaurant Family in search of Long Lost Server
The Iron Bridge Wine Company in Columbia is in search of a rockstar staff member to become a part of our fantastic family and add to the awesomeness of our team. We need someone who is high energy and able to work under pressure. We are looking for someone with stamina and experience or a strong desire to learn, who is looking for a great work environment, where they can make more money and get more meaning from their job. We do big things 363 days a year, even on Sunday and holidays, so flexibility is a must. Luckily we don’t have late hours, so you won’t have to worry about working until Zero Dark Thirty. You need to be super organized, willing to go with the flow, and able to handle multiple people asking you to do multiple things at the same time and not scared of getting a little dirty.

- Able to manage and execute multiple tasks at the same time
- Someone who is quick on their feet and is a fast learner
- Someone who is okay with change, our menu moves pretty fast and if you don’t stop to look around, you may miss something
- Someone who loves to have fun at work-just not more fun than our guests
- Someone who has a passion to learn and try new things
- Someone who has excellent communication skills, you are the link between the guests, and the kitchen so it is important to make sure you can get your point across clearly and concisely.
- Someone who can be on their feet for long periods
Qualities That Are Important To Our Guests:
- Greeting every guest with a warm welcome. Be polite and personable, and prepared to answer questions about the restaurant and the specials we are offering
- Be prepared to learn and work multiple positions. We are a team, you may have to make drinks one day, or be a food runner the next, as a server you will need to know how to do it all.
- Have strong food and wine knowledge. We do not expect our waitstaff to be sommeliers or master chefs, but our guests look to us to be experience makers not order takers-you are more than just a server. Our guests come in for a dining experience not just dinner.
- Read your guests so that every table gets the experience they are looking for whether that is someone to guide them through their visit or someone who delivers their food and wine and leaves them alone. (did we just contradict the last bullet there?!)
- Come to work ready to work. Our guests do not care that we had a bad week, when you are on the floor you should be “stage ready”
- Working as part of our family by bringing ideas to help make The Bridge better and better- who knew it was possible?
