KEY ROLES:
Commitment to Safety
1. Contribute to environment of safety through the learning and implementation and
monitoring of all safety-related best practices, policies, and procedures.
2. Promote accountability to safety through consistent observation, adherence to all
safety rules and practices and proactive communication among members, parents,
peers, and leadership.
3. Obtain and maintain Mandated Reporter training and complete annual Child Abuse
Prevention training.
4. Complete training and participate in all Emergency Preparedness protocols including
drills and communication practices.

background check for all employees before hire and during employment that includes
social security verification, local comprehensive criminal history search, national

organization’s Screening & Onboarding Policy, a person is ineligible to obtain
employment with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast if such person has been

Strategic Planning
1. Assist in shaping organizational strategy; identify emerging trends and inform
decision-making.
2. Oversee the identification and evaluation of opportunities to improve program
effectiveness based on participation and achievement of stated goals.
3. Regularly prepare specific recommendations for the COO to modify and improve
program quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Operational Excellence
1. Support organizational operations, optimize processes and ensure efficient resource
use.

2. Oversee the implementation of operational systems that facilitate achievement of
BGC Central OC key impact outcomes.
3. Work closely with department heads to integrate systems that align with
programmatic needs and enhance service delivery.
4. Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors or consultants
during implementation phases.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of the employee engagement strategy
for the organization to ensure all program staff are equipped with the tools to be
successful.
Community Engagement
1. Support the stewardship of collaborative partnerships with other youth serving
organizations, school district staff, members, parents, families and community
organizations.
2. Engage and support community events, community partners, neighborhood
associations, school-based initiatives, parent groups, committees and groups that
will raise awareness of the Club, enhance programs or support the mission.
Financial Acumen
1. Participate in budgeting, support revenue generation efforts, and monitor financial
health of key projects.
2. Responsibly manage the monthly tracking of the operational budget and review high
level updates and any concerns with the COO.
Outcome Measurement
1. Work closely with COO to design and implement a comprehensive outcome
measurement strategy to drive data-informed decision-making across the
organization.
2. Develop and maintain systems to standardize data collection methods across
programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and grant
requirements.
3. Collaborate with operations leadership to train staff on data entry and collection
protocols, promoting a culture of accountability and accuracy.
4. Synthesize complex data into actionable insights to inform program development
and strategic initiatives.
5. Create dashboards and visualizations that allow stakeholders to easily interpret and
engage with data.

6. Generate customized report templates that tailor to the needs of diverse
stakeholders, including the executive team, school district partners, and donors and
funders.
7. Work closely with the leadership team to refine outcome metrics that align with the
organization’s mission and strategic plan.
Quality Control
1. Design and implement a robust quality control framework to ensure program
excellence, operational consistency, and alignment with organizational standards.
2. Conduct regular site visits to evaluate the quality of program delivery and assess
adherence to organizational protocols.
3. Provide detailed, constructive feedback to staff and site leadership to support
professional growth and continuous improvement.
4. Deliver comprehensive reports to senior leadership, summarizing findings from site
visits and evaluations.
5. Collaborate with site leadership to develop and implement corrective action plans for
addressing identified gaps or issues.
Transportation
1. Develop and implement daily transportation schedules that align with program
needs, ensuring timely and efficient routes from school sites to organizational
facilities.
2. Coordinate transportation services for program-related activities, including field trips
and community events, while maintaining compliance with safety and licensing
requirements.
3. Manage and maintain detailed records of transportation schedules, vehicle use, and
participant rosters.
4. Oversee contracts and partnerships with transportation vendors, ensuring high
service quality and adherence to contractual obligations.
5. Supervise the organization’s vehicle fleet, ensuring all vehicles are well-maintained,
regularly inspected, and compliant with state and federal safety regulations.
6. Develop and enforce transportation safety protocols, including training for staff and
vendors involved in transportation services.
7. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations,
including driver certifications, vehicle insurance, and reporting requirements.
8. Lead incident response planning for transportation-related emergencies, ensuring
proper reporting and follow-up procedures.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or
• A minimum of five years work experience in non-profit agency operations
management and supervision, or an equivalent combination of experience and
education.
• Considerable knowledge of: the mission, objectives, policies, programs and
procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs; of the principles and practices of non-profit
organizations.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
• Demonstrates ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations; in personnel
supervision, the recruitment and retention of key personnel; facilities
management; and budget management.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited
supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff,
subordinates, Board members, community groups, and other related agencies.
• Track record of developing talent, coaching and mentoring people, developing
and implanting strategy.
• Ability to establish and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrates sound judgment, tact and willingness to take initiative.
• Demonstrates ability to write concisely and clearly and to produce high-quality
