About the Role

Anchor Light Therapy Collective is proud to offer an internal career advancement opportunity for the role of EMDR Specialist Candidate. This position is designed for a team member with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, seeking to specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through in-depth training leading to certification. This initiative aims to bolster our capacity to assist clients affected by PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related conditions.

This role is pivotal in addressing the diverse needs of our clients and contributing to our mission of offering holistic mental health support. This initiative reflects our commitment to expanding our services and enhancing our team’s skills to better serve our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participating in EMDR training towards EMDRIA certification as a Certified EMDR Therapist.
  • Conducting thorough assessments to determine client suitability for EMDR therapy.
  • Collaboratively crafting and executing tailored EMDR treatment plans under specialized guidance.
  • Providing empathetic, trauma-informed care throughout the therapeutic journey.
  • Maintaining current position responsibilities and performance metrics throughout the certification process.
  • Engaging in regular bi-weekly consultations with an EMDRIA-approved supervisor that has been contracted by ALTC.
  • Fulfilling all CEUs and certification requirements as mandated by EMDRIA.

Qualifications

  • Current employment as a therapist at Anchor Light Therapy Collective.
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • Valid LMHC/A, LMFT/A, LCSW/A, or equivalent licensure in Washington State.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing caseloads effectively.
  • Dedication to completing certification within the specified timeframe.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on fostering diversity and inclusion.
