ABOUT US

Hakuba Hospitality Group (HHG) is comprised of a young and dynamic international team offering the largest portfolio of boutique hotels, premium chalets and apartments and international food & beverage outlets in prime locations throughout the Hakuba Valley. This season we will be operating 50 chalets and apartments, 4 hotels, 9 Food & Beverage outlets and 1 travel agency. All HHG properties are located in the three villages surrounding the Olympic Happo One Resort: Happo, Echoland, and Wadano. 

THE ROLE OVERVIEW 

We are seeking experienced Housekeeping Staff to join our team across diverse HHG properties situated within Happo One Resort. As a crucial member of our Housekeeping team, you will actively contribute to delivering outstanding guest service, upholding cleanliness and order, and ensuring an enjoyable stay for our patrons. The ideal candidate will exhibit effective communication, an inviting and approachable attitude, and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment. 

HOUSEKEEPING STAFF DUTIES

1. Room Maintenance: Thoroughly clean and maintain guest rooms, ensuring they are inviting and well-prepared. Restock amenities and essentials for guest comfort.
2. Hygiene Standards: Adhere to stringent cleanliness and sanitation practices to create a safe and healthy environment. Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of waste.
3. Linen Care: Handle and replace linens, ensuring they are clean and properly arranged. Coordinate with laundry services to maintain a steady supply of fresh linens.
4. Guest Service Excellence: Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, addressing their needs courteously. Engage with patrons to understand their preferences and ensure a comfortable stay.
5. Organizational Skills: Maintain orderly storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment. Efficiently manage inventory to ensure availability of necessary items.
6. Cleanliness and hygiene: Understand proper sanitation practices in a hospitality environment, including maintaining clean common areas, sanitizing utensils, and following health and safety regulations. 
7. Teamwork: collaborate effectively with other staff members, such as guest service officers, drivers, restaurant staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Legal right to live and work in Japan
• Japanese or international license preferred 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the requirements of the establishment
• Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (such as furniture and stacks of linen), and handle the physical demands of the job

HOUSEKEEPING STAFF SHIFTS

Housekeeping staff are expected to work up to 40 hours per week in flexible shifts over five or six days. Shifts will be predominantly scheduled for mornings and early afternoons. 

ACCOMMODATION

We provide staff accommodation to all employees who need it, offering various options in Happo Village and Upper Wadano. Depending on your role, you will be assigned dormitory-style rooms, shared rooms with one or two roommates, or private rooms. The specific room assignment will be determined based on the seniority level of the position you are hired for. Rest assured, we strive to accommodate our staff members comfortably and according to their respective roles.
