Carrier Sales Representative

Job Summary: The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for developing and managing relationships with carriers to ensure the efficient transportation of goods. This role involves negotiating rates, securing capacity, and ensuring service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify and develop relationships with new carrier partners.

· Negotiate contracts and pricing with carriers to optimize profit margins.

· Monitor carrier performance and address any service issues.

· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and service delivery.

· Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

· Maintain accurate records of carrier agreements and performance metrics.

· Provide excellent customer service and support to both carriers and clients

Requirements:

· Experience with Freight brokerage and/or Carrier Sales

· Having personal connections with carriers is a plus

· Must speak and write in English fluently

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work under pressure

· Ability to multitask efficiently

· Professional attitude

· The ability to handle difficult situations-to stay calm and make efficient & effective decisions quickly

· Experience with DAT, Internet Truckstop and other load boards
