What You’ll Do:
The Audiologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing hearing and balance disorders in patients of all ages. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, fitting and dispensing hearing aids, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and evaluations using various diagnostic tests.
- Interpret audiometric test results and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and assistive listening devices, providing guidance on their use and care.
- Educate patients and their families about hearing health, treatment options, and communication strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, educators, and rehabilitation specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in audiology practices and technologies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
What You Need For This Job:
- Doctorate or Masters in Audiology or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
- State licensure and certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent body.
- Must reside in or near Anchorage, AK.
- Have general knowledge of EMR software and Outlook Programs
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to frequently stand; walk; sit; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
