About the job:
What will you be doing day-to-day?
Business Development
- Lead winning creative pitches, alongside a select team of colleagues from the creative / design / strategic / production departments.
- Understand clients’ business, strategy and business issues and serve as a trusted advisor to drive effective solutions.
- Work alongside the client to develop strategy and creative pitches and programs that are ideas-led.
- Confidently and comprehensively promote DLE and its services via presentation of its credentials and capabilities.
- Guide the development of integrated solutions that leverage our offering and are mutually beneficial for the client and DLE.
- Qualify and validate leads, prospect clients and identify promising opportunities aligned with the DLE offering and values.
Project Management
- Interrogate the brief, scoping of the project, necessary resources and budget.
- Deconstruct briefs and conceptual ideas quickly and thoroughly and in turn bring relevant team members up to speed.
- Articulate strategic creative briefs and ideas concisely.
- Support and lead, where necessary, creative brainstorms to generate ideas for clients.
- Work closely with the architectural, creative design and production teams in the preparation of experience & environmental concepts, from pitch through to final project delivery, ensuring that creative solutions remain faithful to the strategic thinking.
- Read and interpret architectural illustrations, space plans, drawings and contribute in the ideation.
- Conduct research, compile and present findings, insights and inspirations.
- Articulate and present (y)our thinking in an engaging way, both in written and spoken presentations to the client and team.
- Drive the development, writing and presentation of incremental project proposals, scopes of work, schedules and staffing plans.
- Be a master in organizing and maintaining the DLE job folders, asset library and toole for collaboration at all times.
- Be a passionate practitioner of high quality standards, measurement, as well as efficiency and effectiveness at work.
- Constantly strive to push the boundaries of our offer, both creatively and strategically, and seek innovation in our delivery.
- Produce award winning (event/installations) work throughout all stages of a project.
Client Management
- Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all clients’ needs are listened to, understood and responded to in a timely way.
- Ensure clear communication to the client regarding roles and responsibilities, scope, budget, variations, payments, schedules and project status/action items.
Team Management
- Be the conduit between internal and external teams & stakeholders.
- Manage project teams and their process from planning to execution and reconciliation.
- Ensure regular team meetings and manage communications (including emails, contact reports from internal and external meetings), ensuring all points are actioned and deadlines met.
- Coach and oversee junior team members on execution of all individual job details in your remit.
- Develop talent of junior team by providing challenging assignments and ongoing constructive feedback.
- Recommend best freelance and internal talent for the project and support resourcing requirements.
- Embrace and enhance company internal systems, processes and quality.
Budget Management
- Build comprehensive, robust, profitable and smartly put together project budgets on Procim.
- Budgetary control of projects, overseeing project profitability, ongoing value engineering, margin improvement and delivery to agreed financial target.
- Ensure cost estimates, project contracts, payment plans, project acceptance forms (PAFs), project change notices (PCNs) are clearly communicated to a client and approved.
- Lead communications, source and negotiate with suppliers and freelancers to maximise margins.
- Develop and actively manage vendor/ freelance talent relationships to ensure best available talent and pricing.
- Reconcile project costs against budget.
