Position: Food Scientist / Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities:

• Conducting shelf life analysis for our esteemed clientele
• Performing various analytical tests including water activity, soluble solids [brix], total solids [moisture analysis], texture analysis, pH testing and more
• Analysing trends, interpreting results, and presenting findings in an accessible format for clients
• Assisting in quoting, planning, and organizing test regimes for shelf life testing
• Learning and mastering all analytical methods and instrumentation used for shelf life testing
• Documenting all lab tests and maintaining accurate records
• Writing shelf life reports
• Preparing sensory panels for testing and assisting in shelf life set-up processes
• Researching and staying updated on new techniques and technologies in shelf life testing
• Building strong relationships with clients and promoting our products and services

Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of experience in a food laboratory preferred
• Strong interest in food science and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and a team player mentality
