Position Summary
In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the Division Quality Manager is responsible for developing and directing the quality control program(s) across (6) manufacturing sites while also supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This leader will ensure that processes needed for the management system are established, implemented, and maintained. This role will lead improvement efforts and ensure that quality requirements are met throughout the organization. This role is also responsible for strategic direction of quality personnel. Reporting to the Vice President Operations, this leader will come alongside the site leaders to ensures customer quality and first-time quality are focused priorities within all locations. This role is a blending of leadership and individual contributor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining all Quality System functions.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize manufacturing processes and inspection methods to improve customer quality.
- Ensure continuous quality improvement within manufacturing footprint.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize and execute improvement opportunities.
- Lead functional teams to support division & plant quality goals.
- Works closely with the site leaders to coordinate and priorities quality and business needs.
- Scheduling and performance of Internal Quality Audits across the division
- Maintaining and scheduling the calibration of utilized measuring devices
- Scheduling and performing corrective action problem solving sessions as required.
- Developing and updating quality system documentation as required
- Facilitate root cause / corrective action efforts resulting from internal and external drivers and audits.
- Support resolution of customer quality escapes & warranty impact.
- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events as needed to drive rapid improvements in quality & operational performance.
- Provide training and mentorship to plant teams on quality and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Analyze data and quality performance metrics to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress toward goals.
- Drive a culture of problem-solving and innovation within the manufacturing plants.
- Collaborate with leadership to align focus areas with overall business objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven experience in driving cultural change towards continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with quality management and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams.
Qualifications:
- Leadership attributes resulting in successful business results
- 8 years of experience within a manufacturing environment
- Familiar with Quality Systems (especially ISO9001)
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement) Methodologies
- Proven track record of successful implementation of improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
- Professional knowledge of CMM’s and other measuring equipment; experience working with high tolerances
- Willingness to travel: 50% – 75%
- Preferred: Familiarity with the plastic injection molding process
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Management, or related field
- Preferred: ISO9001: 2015 Lead Auditor
- Preferred: ISO13485 exposure
