Responsibilities:
1- Install, configure, update, upgrade, manage and administrate SAS 9.4 software on different OS ( AIX, Linux, and Windows)
2- Install, configure, and maintain SAS Viya 3.5 software, including servers, clients, and additional applications.
3- Install, configure, and maintain SAS Viya software on-premises like open-source Kubernetes or open shift Redhat or in a cloud like Azure, Google, Amazon, Oracle, etc.
4-Install, administer, troubleshoot, and update operating systems (Linux and windows).
5- Validate the infrastructure prerequisites and perform the required technical prerequisites to deploy Upstream Open Source or OpenShift Kubernetes.
6- Install, customize, manage, monitor, configure, and troubleshoot the Open Source or OpenShift Kubernetes.
7- Manage user accounts and access permissions to ensure data security and compliance.
8- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues related to SAS applications and infrastructure.
9- Backup and restore SAS data and applications to prevent data loss and ensure uptime.
10- Support users with technical issues related to SAS software and tools.
11- Automate routine tasks using scripts and scheduling tools.
12- Stay up-to-date with new SAS features and technologies and implement them when appropriate.
13- Coordinate with other IT departments and business users to ensure smooth integration of SAS with other systems.
14- Develop and document standard operating procedures for SAS administration tasks.
15- Generate reports and dashboards to monitor system performance and usage.
Skills and Qualifications:
1- Strong understanding of operating systems like Windows and Linux.
2- Knowledge of networking and database administration concepts, including Oracle, SQL, Tera data, Hadoop, etc.
3- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
4- Good knowledge and experience of Kubernetes concepts like Pods, Services, namespaces, ingress resources, storage, etc.
5- Good knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols, load Balancing, Virtualization, YAML, Docker, etc.
6- Aware of the latest security threats and best practices to solve them.
7- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
8- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10- Good skills in scripting languages like SAS, Python, or PowerShell.
