Job Summary
The Pumper/Loader is responsible for loading and unloading operations, shipping and receiving, performing tank-to-tank transfers, sampling of products and related materials.
This role reports directly to the Refinery Manager and completes essential duties in the Operations department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Loads and unloads operations such as shipping and receiving feedstock and products, manifesting procedures, truck weighing using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Performs proper tank-to-tank transfer line-ups.
Completes sampling of tank contents (sometimes at elevated temperatures), truck contents (sometimes at elevated temperatures), and process samples (products, waste water, etc.).
Conducts regular inspections of equipment and performs routine maintenance as necessary.
Troubleshoots equipment problems and makes necessary repairs or escalates issues to the appropriate team member.
Other Functions
Maintains accurate production and maintenance records.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Years of Experience
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
Work experience as weightmaster required.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of principles and facts related to the production, processing, storage, and distribution of manufactured and agricultural goods.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Skill in inderstanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
Skill in obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
