General Description
You will be in constant communication with our customers, ride brokers, insurance representatives, and our community partners via phone and email to schedule future rides that align with our geographical service area, hours of operation and driver availability. You will determine a customer’s eligibility to have the ride compensated under Minnesota Health Care Programs, a current private contract, or collect private pay information. The typical day starts by uploading or entering ride orders from our ride broker’s web portals and ensuring the accuracy of the information provided. The next day’s rides are then assigned to drivers, building out the majority of a driver’s day. In between taking calls and answering emails regarding future rides, the scheduling team assists the dispatchers in accepting same-day rides, hospital discharges, or pharmacy runs. Periodically, the scheduling team is tasked with updating recurring trip information, renewing service agreements with our county partners, and collecting and processing payments. At times you may be asked to help in various administrative functions around the office such as filing, record keeping, driver credentialing, or local marketing. At times you may also be asked to assist our operations crew with light cleaning and stocking of vehicles, delivering vehicles to drivers or the mechanic, or taking them through a carwash. In very rare and uncommon instances you may be asked to drive a passenger to an appointment or back home.
