We’d like to hear from you if you are confident in providing your quality assurance capabilities in an agile web software development environment. We expect you to be comfortable contributing your opinions within a multidisciplinary product team containing various key roles such as; Product Managers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Software Development Engineers and User Experience engineers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work with the software development team(s) to test functionality during sprints to a high quality.
- Collaborate with peers to discuss features as part of the software development lifecycle.
- Create and configure test environments
- Create, maintain, critique and execute test plans.
- Define, write and implement test cases (where possible from acceptance criteria).
- Perform manual testing where necessary, and build and monitor automated test suites.
- Contribute feedback and help the team to improve in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Gather or create test data required for testing.
- Query data stored in databases and API responses.
- Become a trusted authority for QA, with a strong evidence-based case for why a release is ready to ship.
- Reporting, defect tracking and leakage analysis

Essential skills:
- Experience of Manual and Exploratory testing in a web application context
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Social and team-working skills
- Experience with continuous integration pipelines
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, preferably in a Scrum context, using tools such as Jira
- Experience of version control software, preferably using GIT, GitLab, GitHub
Advantageous skills:
- Experience with Accessibility, Performance & Load testing
- Experience with automation framework(s), preferably Cypress
- Experience with PHP
