This role reports to the Regional Director of Business Affairs
Compensation: $750-$850/day rate
This role is hybrid. 3 days in office and 2 days remote
ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Temp to Perm Group Business Affairs Lead is responsible for drafting contracts, estimates, procurement,
legal review, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting various departments to facilitate
efficient and legally sound production processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all business dealings.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, including production supplier agreements, NDAs, and image licenses.
- Collaborate with legal professionals to mitigate risks associated with client productions.
- Work with third parties to secure content rights and permissions for client productions.
- Manage rights and permissions for all produced assets including talent, music, imagery, and other 3rd party intellectual property.
- Engage with talent representatives to facilitate talent agreements and solutions.
- Assist in vetting productions, including ensuring insurance coverage, conducting risk assessments, and performing background checks on talent.
- Coordinate with music department to secure composer agreements, obtain permissions from publishers and manage licensed track usage.
- Support producers throughout the production process, providing guidance from pre-production to final delivery.
- Provide support and guidance to junior members of the Business Affairs team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong understanding of business affairs, legal compliance, and contract negotiation within the advertising and entertainment industries.
- Understanding and application of the SAG-AFTRA Commercials Code and other applicable union agreements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in contract management and Digital Assets Management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Leadership and team support skills.
