TITLE: Kids Administrator
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time or Part-Time Staff
HOURS: Flexible
SCHEDULE: Sunday through Thursday
DESIRED OUTCOMES
The Kid’s Administrator is responsible for supporting the Children’s Director in all aspects of the children’s ministry, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for children, parents, and volunteers. This role involves both Sunday morning responsibilities and weekly tasks to maintain an organized, engaging, and effective ministry environment.
1. Sunday Morning support
- Set up check-in stations and ensure all technology is ready.
- Assist with classroom needs, including filling in for absent volunteers.
- Welcome and engage with new families to help them integrate into the ministry.
- Provide support to parents, children, and volunteers as needed.
- Assist the Children’s Director with various Sunday morning tasks to ensure smooth operations.
2. Volunteer coordination
- Communicate with volunteers to confirm schedules and roles.
- Recruit and integrate new volunteers into the team.
- Organize and schedule interviews and training for new volunteers with the Children’s Director.
- Ensure volunteer roles are covered each week, arranging substitutes when necessary.
3. Curriculum and supplies management
- Prepare and distribute weekly lesson plans and supplies for each classroom.
- Order and organize all necessary materials for crafts, activities, and lessons.
- Ensure classrooms are properly stocked and prepared for Sunday use.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and coordinate with the Office Manager for necessary purchases.
4. Administrative and logistical support
- Assist with administrative tasks such as printing materials, setting up classrooms, and managing take-home sheets for parents.
- Keep technology like iPads and printers ready and functioning.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of classroom spaces and storage areas.
- Communicate any supply or equipment needs to the appropriate church staff.
5. Family and community engagement
- Build positive relationships with children and their families.
- Work alongside the Children’s Director to create a welcoming environment that fosters community and spiritual growth.
- Assist in organizing and executing events and programs that encourage family participation.
6. Ongoing ministry support
- Work closely with the Children’s Director to provide consistent support for all ministry activities.
- Adapt to various needs and changes within the ministry to support its overall mission and goals.
- Assist with any additional tasks or projects as directed by the Children’s Director.

- This position works closely with Early Childhood Kids’ Director.
- This position currently has no staff supervisory responsibilities but will assist to oversee a team of volunteers.
