About the Job Title:
Hi, I’m Kathleen, the People Operations Manager here at Venture for Canada (VFC). I’ll be leading the recruitment for this new opening. At VFC, the Stakeholder Engagement Intern plays an essential role in enabling Venture for Canada to access the support of external stakeholders. Working closely with the Leadership Team, the Intern offers project coordination and organization to ensure that these relationships are developed, maintained, and valuable to all parties. Day to day, the Intern will explore and interact with VFC’s external ecosystem, identifying mission-aligned event sponsors and speakers who will add value to our suite of youth-serving programs, and supporting their introduction to VFC.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct research to identify individuals and companies (i.e. “stakeholders”) aligned with VFC’s mission, who can be asked to contribute as event speakers or sponsors;
- Manage and maintain accurate stakeholder data in Hubspot CRM;
- Support colleagues in engaging new stakeholders, including:
- Using project management skills to track steps toward successfully engaging a new stakeholder;
- Supporting colleagues to draft emails, troubleshoot challenges, and schedule interactions with prospective stakeholders as needed.
- Represent VFC as a point of contact for new stakeholders, both online and in-person, where relevant; and
- Directly work with the VFC Leadership Team.
- Any other reasonable responsibilities as requested by VFC.
Job Requirements:
- Verbal communication skills: comfortable speaking with new people in person, and on the phone.
- Written communication skills: comfortable writing a professional and efficient email to an organizational stakeholder.
- Stakeholder Management: experience interacting with important stakeholders and navigating their needs.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience with Hubspot as a CRM would be an asset.
- Public speaking experience would be an asset.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace/Gmail, HubSpot, Slack, Zoom, and the Windows operating system are assets
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
- Must have Canadian citizenship, PR, or Refugee status, unfortunately, International Students are not eligible due to our funder’s requirements.

Venture for Canada is committed to providing equal pay for equal work with salaries in line with industry standards. The salary for this position is 770/week. This is a 12 week contract.
Location: Virtual, home office must be within Canada.
