Program: Career & Youth Services – ACCEP-IEHP 

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Job Summary:

The Program Manager provides operational support and manages the delivery of the ACCEP-IEHP project in Ontario. The Program Manager is responsible for managing the work of the ACCEP-IEHP Ontario team, managing and implementing the project services to ensure quality services are delivered, and working closely with employers, community partners, and promoting the project to the public.

Reports to: Senior Program Manager

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manages and implements the project as specified on the project’s funding contract to ensure quality services and outcomes are achieved.
• Formulates strategies for achieving measurable objectives and outcomes.
• Assists the Employer Specialist in providing employment support, cohort training, job coaching, and other related support to IEHPs.
• Develops and monitors outreach strategies in building relationships with employers in the health sector for employment and practicum opportunities for IEHPs.
• Strategizes outreach plans to community stakeholders, training vendors, and employers.
• Reviews case files to ensure quality service standards.
• Develops and monitors proper documentation and records of the project.
• Prepares and analyses reports and surveys relating to the project.
• Assists the Case Manager and Employer Specialist in developing project curriculum and delivering workshops.
• Participates in project promotional and marketing activities.
• Supports and promotes cooperation among staff to achieve a high level of service delivery.
• Manages staff recruitment and conducts performance reviews
• Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by Senior Program Manager and/or Program Director.
• Assists Senior Project Manager to monitor the Ontario project budget and reconciles financial reports with Accounting Department.
• Represents the project to attend community meetings in Ontario and in accordance with internal directives.
• Conducts regular team meetings with the staff to monitor program performance and compliance with internal policies and procedures (e.g. occupational health and safety)

Education, Training and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• CCDP credential is an asset
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and implementing programs to ensure quality service delivery
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in building partnerships with employers, community agencies, and training vendors
• Excellent knowledge in career counselling and case management
• Experience working with a skilled immigrants
• Experience in funded employment programs an asset
• A minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience is an asset
• Excellent knowledge of the local labour trends and information in Ontario

Additional Information:

• Criminal Record Check Required
• Ability to work at multiple outreach locations across Greater Toronto Area
• Ability to work occasionally on weekends and evenings as required
• Occasional travel to provinces outside of Ontario may be required
