Ariat is looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager to join our team and grow our business across all channels:
– Equestrian
– Country Performance
– Work (farming and agricultural)
– Western.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the Team Leader Benelux & France and Marketing teams to deliver digital-first campaigns with key retailers.
– Develop and execute strategic plans for key accounts to achieve and exceed sales targets.
– Support retailers in maintaining a strong brand presence, both in-store and online.
– Work closely with Marketing and Product teams to create demand and develop the brand within the region.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with internal Ariat personnel.
– Implement a structured selling process with a focus on supporting sell-through.
– Prepare and manage GTM plans for relevant customers in the area.
– Conduct market analysis and report findings to the Team Leader Benelux & France.
– Prepare data-driven reports and hold meetings with accounts.
– Coach, motivate, and manage customers in line with yearly and seasonal GTM objectives.
– Support customers at shows and events as needed.
– Ensure timely and professional reporting and administration.
– Collaborate with Customer Service, Demand Planning, and Operations to ensure smooth product flow.
– Assist with any other tasks as designated by the Team Leader Benelux & France and senior team.
– Form a close working relationship with company management to support business initiatives.
– Comply with all company policies, procedures, and current working practices.
About You:
Qualifications:
– Degree or equivalent
– Clean, valid driving licence
Skills:
– Fluent in English and French (Dutch is a plus)
– Confident decision-making
– Strong problem-solving and change management skills
– Analytical and data reporting proficiency
– Excellent verbal and written communication
– Strong interpersonal skills
– Effective organisation, planning, time management, and prioritisation
– Efficient route planning and travel organising
– Teamwork and collaboration
– Strong presentation skills
– Exceptional customer service
– IT literacy, including MS Office (especially Excel)
Knowledge and Experience:
– 3+ years of area management experience with retail and key accounts
– Experience or knowledge of the equestrian market is essential
– Successful track record with retail accounts (bricks, online, and omni) to increase revenue
– Experience in brand building and product marketing
– Ability to use analytics to support business decisions
