The Arrow House, an adolescent project, is a program rooted in community and connection. We serve individuals ages 13-17, and families who are seeking a new method of joining together and facing both individual and systemic challenges related to co-occurring disorders. Pursuing treatment is never an easy decision nor a linear process. Through family therapy, multi-family process groups, individual counseling, and various process and experiential group therapy, our clients will participate in a well-rounded treatment experience. The Arrow House team is committed to exploring all dimensions of our clients. A strong emphasis is placed on establishing safety, accessing emotions, and nurturing time and space for challenging therapeutic material. With a robust clinical curriculum, our team fosters a culture of cohesiveness, support, and integration.
Qualifications:
Masters in Counseling Psychology or Social Work. MFT, MSW and must be license-eligible and registered with the CA BBS. 2 years experience with a chemical dependency population and 12-Step model; 2 years of sobriety if recovering.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Admission assessment and preliminary treatment plan for assigned clients.
- Initiates discharge planning upon admission for assigned clients, and updates discharge plan weekly
- Facilitates comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic summary for assigned clients
- Facilitates multi-disciplinary treatment planning and updates for assigned clients (ensures inclusion of all treatment modalities/ disciplines)
- Individual sessions for all assigned clients (at least weekly)
- Group counseling, education, and meetings per program schedule
- Family/joint therapy as specified in individual client’s treatment plans
- Coordinates treatment objectives for assigned clients
- Coordination of all treatment services needed for assigned client caseload
- Supports aftercare program by meeting with alumni on an as-needed basis (when approved by Clinical Director)
Administrative Duties:
- Participates in Quality Improvement task groups (as assigned)
- Interface with assigned clients’ insurance, managed care companies, EAPs for treatment planning and concurrent review
- Facilitates ancillary services/community referrals for assigned clients
- Facilitates/approves any client passes
- Participates in In-service Training, individual/group supervision meetings, and counselor/residential staff interface meetings.
- Communicates with staff via communication log and clients’ records to maximize utilization of milieu in supporting each client’s treatment plan
- Ensures client records for assigned caseload are comprehensive and complete and meet licensing standards
- Facilitates legal commitments with client caseload (includes coordinating transportation)
- Other duties as assigned by Clinical Director or advising Therapist
