Back End Developer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in PHP and MySQL, with experience working on APIs and Webhooks. This role is crucial in the design, development, and maintenance of web applications that require high performance and scalability. The Backend Developer will be instrumental in driving projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless backend functionality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Back-End Development:
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side logic using PHP.
  • Design and manage MySQL databases for efficient data storage, retrieval, and scalability.
  • Build and integrate APIs and Webhooks to connect with third-party services and extend application functionality.
  • Ensure that back-end processes are optimized for performance, security, and scalability.
• Database Management:
  • Create and manage database schemas that align with application requirements.
  • Optimize MySQL databases for speed and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and ensure data integrity.
• API Integration:
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between web applications and external services.
  • Work with Webhooks to automate tasks and synchronize data across platforms.
• Performance and Security:
  • Implement caching mechanisms and other performance optimizations to ensure fast load times.
  • Ensure that all backend processes adhere to security best practices to protect data and application integrity.
• AI and Emerging Technologies (Nice to Have):
  • Experience working with the OpenAI API and a passion for AI technologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and explore ways to integrate them into our web applications.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct testing and debugging of back-end code to identify and resolve issues early.
  • Perform regular code reviews to ensure consistency, readability, and high-quality code standards.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and project managers to define requirements and deliverables.
  • Document code, processes, and project progress to ensure team communication and continuity.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience with PHP and MySQL.
  • Proficiency in developing and integrating RESTful APIs and working with Webhooks.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience in back-end optimization for performance and security.
• Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
  • Experience with the OpenAI API and enthusiasm for AI-driven technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and server management (Apache/Nginx) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
