Coordinator

Summary:  

The primary role of our Team Members is to serve.  We serve our customers, volunteers, staff, & the mission of Thrifters Rock/COTR (Church On The Rock) as a whole.  We accomplish this privilege of service in many ways.  Included in this document are some of the unique responsibilities/expectations, qualifications, & opportunities associated with the position of: Coordinator

Qualifications and Education Requirements 

• Aligns with COTR/Thrifters Rock, policies & values. 
• Teachable, Team Participant. 
• High school degree or equivalent. 
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of volunteers and staff.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, inventory management systems).
• Passion for the mission of the non-profit and commitment to sustainability and community service.

Key Responsibilities

Department Coordination:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned departments (e.g., Housewares, Linens, Bath, Baby, Shoes, Party, etc.).
• Ensure merchandise is well-organized, clean, and a balanced volume of inventory is on the retail floor in your department(s).
• Remove dated merchandise from floor in accordance with store policies.
• Implement pricing strategies in accordance with store policies.

Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service and assist with customer inquiries and concerns.
• Help donors with donation process when needed.
• Promote a welcoming atmosphere for all customers and donors.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
