CPR Instructor – Pittsburgh

Organization and Position:

The Training and Education Fund is a tax-exempt non-profit organization that provides services and training opportunities for over 18K frontline workers in Pennsylvania. We are seeking  a CPR Instructors to help support the organizational mission.

The primary responsibility of the Instructor is to conduct, in-person American Heart Association, Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Heartsaver CPR AED/First Aid trainings.  Instructors must ensure that each student in training has an enjoyable, productive, challenging, and meaningful experience.

Position Type:

Part-Time/Casual based out of your home office and will require travel throughout the region. Hours dependent on training demand and flexibility of instructor’s schedule.  

Compensation:

Compensation for this role is $30/hour, plus mileage reimbursement (60+ miles, round trip). Reimbursement for tolls and parking will also be given.

Essential Responsibilities, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Current certification to teach BLS/Heartsaver CPR – We will train the right person(s).
• Ability to train in an in-person classroom-based environment.
• Teach provided curriculum as required by the American Heart Association and adhere to the scheduled timeframe.
• Maintain responsibility for instruction and classroom management.
• A flexible schedule that can include morning – evening and weekends.
• Capable of tracking attendance and reporting each training session to the regional coordinator and/or Director
• Access to high-speed internet.
• Valid PA driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Willingness to take on other duties as assigned when needed.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certified or willing to obtain certification.
• Two years of experince in adult education and training experience within healthcare.
