Data Insights Analyst

FP Markets Group of Companies is a well-established globally regulated Australian broker offering traders access to CFDs across Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit a Data Insights Analyst with a strong background in financial markets in our Cyprus office – a certified Great Place to Work®.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing large sets of market and customer data, providing actionable insights to enhance trading strategies, optimize customer experience, and support business decision-making. The role involves working with cross-functional teams such as trading, risk management, and marketing to provide data-driven solutions.

Reporting to: Head of Business Intelligence

Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis & Insights:
  • Analyze large volumes of trading data, customer behavior, and market trends to generate actionable insights;
  • Develop real-time and historical data reports to support Forex trading strategies and decision-making processes;
  • Identify key drivers of customer profitability, trading behaviors, and market anomalies.
• Reporting & Visualization:
  • Design and maintain dashboards that track KPIs, trading patterns, and financial performance metrics;
  • Present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders including senior management, traders, and product development teams;
  • Translate complex data into easy-to-understand formats, such as charts, graphs, and presentations.
• Market Research:
  • Stay up to date on global financial markets, particularly Forex, and provide insights on macroeconomic factors affecting currency exchange rates;
  • Evaluate external data sources such as central bank announcements, geopolitical events, and economic reports to refine analytical models.

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field;
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar);
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and data mining techniques;
• In-depth understanding of the Forex market, including currency pairs, trading platforms, and market dynamics;
• Experience in financial data analysis, particularly in the context of trading and risk management;
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and provide clear, actionable insights;
• Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
