About the job:
Stacy Witbeck is seeking a Data Systems Specialist who will play a key role in optimizing the company’s data collection, storage, and integration processes. This role will focus on ensuring that the right data is collected and effectively stored, while also identifying ways to connect isolated systems to provide actionable insights for decision-makers. The ideal candidate will be adept at transforming complex data into compelling stories that inform business strategy and operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess current data collection processes and recommend improvements to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Evaluate the relevance and quality of collected data to ensure meaningful insights.
- Oversee the storage of data in alignment with best practices for security, accessibility, and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for integrating data across different systems to enable comprehensive data analysis.
- Design and implement processes for aggregating and connecting data sets from various sources including on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Identify and eliminate redundant data entries across systems to reduce double input, streamline workflows, and improve overall efficiency through better data integration and synchronization.
- Collaborate with coworkers to understand data needs and deliver insights in formats that best serve decision-makers (e.g., dashboards, reports, presentations).
- Develop strategies for using data to tell stories that highlight trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and other departments to streamline data workflows and system integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data systems management, integration, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in data collection methodologies, databases, and system integration tools.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- This position requires in-office attendance on a full-time basis.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud data storage platforms and system integration methods (e.g., APIs, ETL processes).
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Understanding storytelling through data and how to effectively present insights.
- Construction Industry experience preferred.
