About the job:
The Director, Sales role will be in a key client-facing role. You will take ownership of all revenue generation activities: building, managing, and developing a high-performance enterprise sales team; establishing and tracking sales channels; creating a methodical, data driven sales process; filling and driving the sales pipeline; and closing enterprise-level deals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drive sales, aggressively expand the customer base and generate new revenue
- Establish sales channels and build a team to achieve the benchmarks
- Have input on the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation
- Take a hands-on approach to sales, leading by example and driving your own quota
- Hire and train a team of sales professional across the entire sales funnel
- Establish quotas and compensation plans for the sales team
- Develop and implement a scalable sales process from prospecting/demand generation through contract execution
- Lead in-person and virtual client presentations to key stakeholders, including information discovery sessions, product demonstrations and proposals
- Clearly communicates the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Innovative and results-oriented sales contributor with strong software/tech sales experience with an emphasis on enterprise and government sales
- Proven record of strong sales results meeting or exceeding annual targets
- Proven record of prospecting new clients or prospecting within existing clients at senior levels of organizations
- Strong knowledge of sales process, including pipeline and priority organization, forecasting
- Experience negotiating and renewing strategic/high revenue impact partnerships
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills – Ability to speak fluently to senior executives
- Proven experience as a sales ‘hunter’ and an ability to drive strategic sales cycles and close business within assigned territory
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial work environment where self-motivated individuals succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience is required
