Job Description:

The Engagement Marketing Specialist (EMS) is a critical member of the LifeGuides Client Success team, responsible for executing digital campaigns and driving user engagement from initial client registration to continued usage and beyond. This role focuses heavily on strategic email marketing, engagement strategies, and performance measurement. Reporting directly to the Head of Client Success, the EMS will leverage data-driven strategies, creative content, and behavioral insights to maximize client satisfaction and demonstrate ROI to our client partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Email Marketing Campaign Management
      • Design, implement, and manage targeted email marketing campaigns using MailChimp (or similar tools) to drive user engagement.
      • Craft engaging copy and subject lines, promote live events, and segment email lists for optimized performance.
      • Conduct A/B testing to enhance key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, registrations, and utilization of LifeGuides services.
      • Develop a coordinated calendar of email campaigns to prevent overlap, minimize fatigue, and maximize engagement.
    1. Engagement Strategy Development
      • Create tailored communication strategies based on the client’s lifecycle stage to drive registration, call booking, call completion, rebooking, and long-term engagement with Life Guides.
      • Strategically time and structure email sequences for optimal impact, balancing frequency and staying top-of-mind without overwhelming recipients.
      • Promote mobile app engagement through messaging and strategic notifications.
    2. Client Lifecycle Management
      • Understand and map out the client lifecycle to design email campaigns that move clients through key stages, from initial registration through continued usage and advocacy.
      • Develop campaigns that encourage feedback and capture testimonials to highlight the positive impact of Life Guides’ services.
    3. Performance Measurement and Reporting
      • Collect and analyze data to track key engagement metrics, such as event attendance, registration rates, call bookings, completed calls, rebookings, and client testimonials.
      • Create visually appealing and data-driven reports to illustrate the full cycle of engagement and measurable ROI for client companies.
      • Collaborate with internal teams to share insights and optimize engagement strategies based on data analysis.
    4. Optimization and Continuous Improvement
      • Keep up-to-date with best practices and trends in email marketing, client engagement, and customer experience.
      • Experiment with new strategies to increase client engagement, retention, and advocacy.
      • Ensure emails are mobile-friendly, accessible, and adhere to best practices for effective communication and client outreach.

          6. Content Creation & Optimization

  • Develop and optimize content for emails, newsletters, app messaging, landing pages, flyers, and blog articles, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and client engagement goals.
  • Focus content on fostering connection, reducing disengagement, and driving client engagement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in email marketing and client engagement (experience with MailChimp preferred).
  • Strong background in A/B testing, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of customer lifecycle strategies and how to design email campaigns accordingly.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Experience with engagement measurement, data analysis, and campaign optimization.
  • Strong understanding of effective email communication techniques, such as choosing compelling subject lines, writing persuasive copy, and strategically designing CTAs.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and strategies for minimizing email fatigue while maintaining engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer advocacy, collecting testimonials, and measuring customer satisfaction.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create actionable insights.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and email design principles.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, take ownership, and drive results.

Cash Compensation: The salary will be determined based on experience and alignment with our team culture, supplemented by generous equity for a venture capital-backed enterprise. For regions with standard living costs (e.g., outside of San Francisco), compensation will be approximately $65K to $80K, plus a strong incentive plan to reward great success.
