Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers focused on communications, internal back-office web applications, Finance and ERP systems, and integrations with third-party services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a passion for driving innovation.

Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership:
   • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers.
   • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
   • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
2. Project Management:
   • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects.
   • Ensure projects are completed on time, and within scope.
   • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
3. Technical Oversight:
   • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
   • Ensure the adoption of best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
   • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
4. Communication Systems:
   • Lead the design, development and maintenance of communications and customer support software, such as Twilio and Zendesk.
   • Ensure high reliability, scalability, and performance of communication systems.
5. Back Office and ERP Systems:
   • Oversee the development and enhancement of toters’ operational back-office web applications and ERP products.
   • Work closely with product management, finance teams and other key stakeholders to ensure software meets business needs.
6. Third-Party Integrations:
   • Manage integrations with third-party services, including payment gateways, integrated app search, and marketing tools and platforms such as Braze, Mixpanel and Banch.
   • Ensure seamless and secure data exchange between systems.
7. Quality Assurance:
   • Closely coordinate with the QA function for robust testing and quality assurance processes.
   • Ensure software products meet high standards of quality, security, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience with communication technologies (e.g., Twilio), web applications (Angular, React), ERP systems (Dynamics365), and third-party API integrations.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing, developing and deploying customer support center systems.
• Knowledge of security and compliance best practices.
• Familiarity with managing and delivering high-quality admin portals for operational use at scale.
• Experience with financial software and payment processing systems.
