Front End Developer

Location: 2200 Eagle Street North, Cambridge

Compensation: $75,000.00 + 

What You Will Be Doing:

• User Interface Development:
  Design and build responsive, dynamic front-end applications and dashboards that enable seamless interaction with data engineering pipelines and datasets.
• Data Visualization:
  Create and integrate data visualizations  to present insights clearly and effectively.
• Collaboration with Data Teams:
  Work closely with data engineers and analysts to understand user needs and translate them into functional interfaces.
• Integration with Back-End Services:
  Connect front-end applications to APIs, data warehouses, and other back-end services.
• Performance Optimization:
  Ensure web applications are fast, scalable, and optimized for high performance with large datasets.
• Maintainability and Best Practices:
  Write clean, maintainable, and modular code using best practices and modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Testing and Debugging:
  Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to maintain high-quality, error-free applications.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and data-driven application development.
  • Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Highcharts, or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with database concepts and tools (SQL, NoSQL, or similar).
• Data Engineering Knowledge:
  • Basic understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ability to work with large datasets and tools like Apache Kafka, Spark, or Snowflake (bonus).
• Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Proven ability to solve complex user interaction and data visualization challenges.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
