About Us

Established in 2018, Rosslyn is a collection of award-winning, high volume specialty coffee shops located within the City of London. We have ‘All the attention to detail and high standards of the great Australian Cafe combined with the warmth and community of the Irish Pub, brought together in a way that best serves modern day London’.

At Rosslyn, we hire based upon values and how we think you might contribute to our team. We hope to bring together those with a ‘why’ with a ‘how’ we do things. If your skillset isn’t yet where you would like it to be, we want to help with that. We cannot however teach you how to take pride in your work and show empathy towards our guests.

We work hard on ensuring that we operate our business in a conscientious manner. ‘We seek to contribute to everyone we come into contact with, understanding that success is best when shared’. This includes our team, guests, suppliers, landlords, local community and the wider coffee community.

A “Rosslyn” FOH Barista

We can provide a flexible schedule. Shifts are planned across 06.00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday and 8:30 – 17:00 Saturdays. Our idea of providing a work-life balance means ensuring evenings off, a 40hr work week and shifts under 10hrs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly
• Maintain our high standards in speciality coffee (or have the work ethic to learn how to do so)
• Be empathetic, understand how you impact someone’s day with acts of hospitality and a great cup of coffee
• Have a friendly, natural rapport, so our guests feel comfortable visiting time and time again
• Have the backs of your team, this means supporting inclusivity and building relationships with trust and integrity
• Is knowledgeable, able to answer all guest queries, staying up to speed on all coffee/retail offerings
• Work in a calm, collected manner. An effective communicator who looks to add value through their work

We are extremely proud of our work alongside The Living Wage Foundation, working closely with their team to develop the scheme. This was recognised in 2023 when we received the Living Wage Champion Award.

We strongly believe that for our team to take good care of our guests, we must first take good care of our team.

This starts with paying a fair wage (more than LLW). We offer £14 as a starting rate (Up to £14.50 depending on experience)
