The Role

We are looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join our amazing and fast-growing fintech team. You will be part of the team responsible for developing software and tools to support and implement PayClip’s Checkout Platforms, encompassing both code and infrastructure. You’ll develop and experiment with different technologies, primarily related to AWS services. We’re seeking someone eager to explore new technologies to better serve Clip customers. The successful candidate will have experience building microservices with Go for backend platforms and using Next.js for frontend development, all within an agile methodology.

What will I be doing?

1. Work as part of a team developing applications and services using Agile development methods.
2. Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and engineering needs.
3. Build customer-facing UI and backend services following best practices.
4. Effectively use tools and ingenuity to identify and fix defects before they become a problem.
5. Innovate and create world-changing software.

Ideal Candidate:

1. 3+ years of experience with backend languages, desirable Java, Golang, or Python.
2. 3+ years of experience with frontend languages, specifically with ReactJS, NextJS, or any other similar framework based on React.
3. Experience with front-end libraries such as Redux, React Context API, or Zustand..
4. Solid understanding of RESTful service architecture and APIs.
5. Familiar with both SQL/NoSQL database technologies.
6. Proficient with GitHub.
7. Proficient in Linux/Unix and comfortable with Mac.
8. Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Go’s testing package).
9. Strong knowledge of security best practices in software development 
10. Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and scalability of applications.
11. Proficiency in leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity, problem-solving, and code quality.
