Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate General Education Teacher for grades 9-12 to join our team. This individual will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction across various subjects while supporting student achievement and fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application skills. The ideal candidate will be flexible, innovative, and committed to preparing students for post-secondary success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards and challenge students to reach their academic potential.
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, collaboration, and engagement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, instructional coaches, and school leadership to continuously improve instructional practices and contribute to curriculum development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school culture, encouraging respect, responsibility, and empathy among students.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress, academic concerns, and behavioral expectations.
• Utilize technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and support student learning in alignment with our STEAM-focused curriculum.
• Participate in school-wide professional development, faculty meetings, and collaborative planning sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, and performance.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, including maintaining classroom management and a safe learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
• Valid Texas teaching certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience teaching in a high school setting (preferred).
• Strong understanding of TEKS standards and the ability to create engaging and rigorous content for high school students.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create differentiated learning experiences to meet diverse student needs.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction to enhance student learning.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration with colleagues.
• Ability to establish a positive and inclusive classroom culture and build strong relationships with high school students.
