MarqVision is a B2B software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup founded out of Harvard, accelerated at Y-Combinator, and backed by Softbank Ventures Asia. We offer an AI-powered intellectual property (IP) protection platform that helps brands automatically detect and remove counterfeits from global online marketplaces and social media platforms. Currently, various global brands are using MarqVision to protect their IP. MarqVision employs its proprietary deep-learning-based AI algorithm to detect IP-infringing products online. We then employ our bot-powered auto-reporting technology and legal expertise to take down infringements efficiently and effectively. Finally, we provide our clients some key performance metrics to help them devise IP legal strategy in a data-driven way.

The Mission of the MARQ Folio Team

Marq Vision’s MARQ Folio Team spearheads the establishment and operation of a groundbreaking product, MARQ Folio, with a mission to revolutionize the IP filing and management process. As a startup within a startup, highly specialized professionals – from product managers and IP specialists to sales representatives – work under unwavering commitment to build from 0 to 1. Together as one team, we help brands secure their IP rights most efficiently and effectively.

About the role – Manager, Global Business Development

As a Global Business Development Manager in the MARQ Folio Team, you will be responsible for driving global growth and managing a dynamic team focused on sales and partnerships. In this key leadership role, you will own the revenue targets for our flagship product, MARQ Folio. We seek a talented business manager with expertise in scaling the business globally and a strong bias for action in hyper speed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base globally.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales and partnership professionals team.
  • Find new revenue streams across different markets and customer segments, and optimize through constant A/B testings.
  • Develop global partnerships with platforms and accelerators to maximize growth.
  • Work closely with the leadership to deliver performance reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the operations, product, and marketing teams, to align strategies and optimize customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business development or similar go-to-market roles.
  • Experience growing new products on a global scale.
  • Fluency in English and Korean.
  • Track record of managing KPIs of large-scale projects, ensuring that all key milestones are met.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills: diving deep into issues, identifying root causes, and successfully implementing solutions.
  • Outstanding communication and customer management skills.
  • Ability to distill information quickly and present critical insights to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Startup experience
  • Experience in IP sales or marketing.
