ENCONA (encona.org) is an internationally operating automotive training, auditing, and consulting company with a global network of subject matter experts and industry professionals.
Many top OEMs and 20 of the 25 biggest automotive component suppliers worldwide trust our services and competence for training and vehicle launches. As an accredited VDA license partner we provide VDA training modules in South Africa, the USA, Canada, Germany, Romania, and Taiwan. We also develop and provide our own ENCONA branded training courses globally.
Our client demand is expanding and we require to increase our network of independent (GNPs), freelance, qualified Cyber Security Consultants. As an ISMS/TISAX Consultant you’ll contribute to client projects to ensure they are compliant with their customer security requirements, specifically TISAX. Our clients require resources that understand what the framework asks for, can translate and communicate this to both management and engineers, and evaluate & design technical solutions and processes that meet these needs. ENCONA Consultants will work together with clients to lead and prioritize the activities, secure stakeholder commitments and track progress. You should have extensive experience working at a technical level with security within enterprise environments.
Your tasks will depend on the project to which you are assigned. However, you will mostly be responsible for performing the following:
- Plan and perform a risk analysis to identify existing vulnerabilities.
- Developing security measures to mitigate the identified vulnerabilities.
- Design and implementation of training concepts and measures to minimize the “human risk factor”.
- Consulting on information security and IT security topics.
- Preparation for security audits based on ISO27001, TISAX, etc.
Skills and attributes for success
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Computer Science or a similar major.
- Three to five years of sound industry experience in Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and IT risk management processes.
- Knowledge of industry standards and industry frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, PCI/DSS, Data Privacy) and an understanding of security and privacy laws and regulations (e.g. POPI, GDPR, etc) is desirable.
- Excellent command of English and additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong written and presentational skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences.
- Willingness, ability, and flexibility to travel.
Ideal consultants will have one or more of these certifications: ISO27001 Lead Auditor / ISO27001 Implementer, PMP, PRINCE2, TISAX trained, and will have a personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations. Flexibility is necessary to adapt to a variety of project types, working hours, and work environments and locations. An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You’ll anticipate and identify risks within projects and share any issues with senior members of the team.
