Overview

Ampverse is looking for a Head of Business Development in Thailand to drive the growth and expansion of our gaming marketing agency business unit in the Thai market. You’ll manage a group of talented sales and client solutions team members who foster deep client relationships with game publishers, consumer brands, and advertising agencies.


To be successful, you should have extensive experience managing sales and client solutions teams and, ideally, leading business development in a high-growth entrepreneurial company. Ideally, you have either already lived through the hyper-growth of a company or are hungry to do it and create an industry-defining company!

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the executive team to develop and execute the strategic sales, sponsorship, and client solutions go-to-market plans.
  • Manage a sales, sponsorship, and client solutions team that can generate business growth across all customer segments 
  • Support the development of new commercial products to evolve and grow our product offering in the market
  • Responsible for the sustainable growth of the business by increasing revenue year-on-year
  • Ensure the performance and strategy of the organization’s revenue-generating departments
  • Track & manage revenue pipeline and deliver regular forecasts
  • Participate in contract negotiations adhering to commercial targets
  • Evolve the methods and tools used to measure, report, and recommend improvements in sales and operations effectiveness and enablement
  • Invest in and support ongoing training and enablement for front-line team members
  • Partner with Sales for account planning exercises, QBRs, and upfront negotiations to evaluate client business needs
  • Maintain and approve policy exception requests relating to Service Level Agreements, Pricing, Makegoods, and more
  • Conduct regular status meetings with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment that supports the business
  • Oversee completion of CS team recurring tasks, including pipeline hygiene, campaign pacing, production tracking, measurement outcomes, and client billing
  • Assess staffing needs and lead the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of talent
  • Lead training for the CS team, inclusive of role-specific, soft-skills, procedural, and developmental training
  • Work with the marketing team to actively shape and implement B2B marketing initiatives such as client events and industry thought leadership.

We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You have 10+ years of sales/revenue/business development management experience, ideally in a high-growth environment. 
  • You possess strong communication skills, the ability to manage and influence direct and indirect reports, a high motivation for continuous improvement, and the ability to drive impact.
  • You have sales leadership experience in relevant sectors and/or industries – esports/gaming, influencer marketing, entertainment industry, and media publishing.
  • You enjoy leading from the front and evangelizing your company and product on the public stage.
  • You have hands-on sales leadership experience and a strong network across Thailand.
  • You have experience building and selling custom content and/or sponsorship solutions vs purely transactional products.
  • You are empathetic and a natural connector – both internally and externally.
  • You’ve got experience architecting and managing revenue systems with CRM software daily.
  • You are naturally curious and demonstrate strong analytical skills 
  • You are client-focused – you like to deliver solutions to client problems
  • You have strong leadership skills
  • You are used to working in a fast-paced environment

  • You have a track record of hiring and leading diverse teams and a passion for people management and professional development
