The Opportunity:

West Liberty University is seeking applications for Head Women’s Golf Coach.  This position performs responsible program building including planning, coaching, recruiting, managing and directing an institutional women’s tennis program.  This is not a full time, exempt coaching position. This position will be compensated through a fixed stipend. 

The Head Women’s Golf Coach is responsible for managing various aspects of the golf team, including strength and conditioning, practicing, competing, scheduling, and student athlete retention.  Job responsibilities require the ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Coaches team of student athletes.
• Develops and recommends game strategy. 
• Evaluates and recruits qualified student athletes.
• Monitors student performance and academic progress. 
• Monitors the purchase of uniforms, equipment and supplies.
• Adheres to all rules and regulations set forth for the team and the university.
• Works cooperatively with personnel in the athletics department. 

Education & Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelors degree required.
• 1+ year of relevant coaching experience.
• 6 months + of collegiate coaching preferred.
