About the job:

We are seeking a hands on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Partner to join our team. This is a pivotal role within our organisation where you will partner across our entire organisation.

 

This position will report to both the General Manager of Services and the General Manager of Human Resources and will be required to work at our Wetherill Park and Campbelltown office.

About the role:

  • Collaborating with General Manager for Services and General Manager for Human resources to implement a comprehensive HSEQ strategy aligned with regulatory requirements and organisational goals.
  • Providing expert advice on developing and maintaining integrated HSEQ management systems, ensuring alignment with ISO standards and proactive risk management.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS laws, regulations, and internal policies, while assisting with injury management and return-to-work functions for affected staff.
  • Supporting Managers with the management of day-to-day staff site issues, attending site and risk management processes. ie Toolbox talks, SWMS, audit, training to name a few. 
  • Managing routine safety tasks including inductions, competency assessments, incident management, risk assessments, hazard identification, and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Identifying key areas and developing WHS training needs analysis throughout the project lifecycle in consultation with client requirements and learning & development.

About you

  • Extensive experience in WHS consulting or advisory roles, with a proven track record in developing and implementing WHS strategies and programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Work Health & Safety Act, ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), and risk management principles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline or relevant experience
  • ISO 45001 Internal Auditor Training (advantageous)
  • Previous experience working in electrical sector is essential.
  • Experience managing site-based WHS programs, from inductions and competency assessments to hazard identification and incident reporting
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite, document management systems, audit tools)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, educating internal stakeholders and contractors about the benefits of a safe working environment.
  • Methodical problem-solving approach and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
