Houseman – Luxury Hotel -$18.00/hr

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Houseman to join our team at a modern, upscale hotel located near the iconic National Mall in Washington, D.C. This property, surrounded by historic landmarks, cultural attractions, and vibrant dining, provides guests with exceptional experiences.

As a Houseman, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the hotel’s cleanliness and functionality, supporting both the housekeeping and maintenance teams in delivering a world-class environment for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Assist housekeeping staff by delivering linens, towels, and cleaning supplies to rooms and storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in public areas, hallways, and storage spaces, ensuring they meet luxury standards.
• Respond promptly to guest and staff requests for assistance, including moving furniture, setting up event spaces, or providing extra amenities.
• Ensure garbage and recycling are removed and properly disposed of from common areas and service spaces.
• Perform light maintenance duties, including replacing light bulbs, restocking supplies, and reporting repair needs to the appropriate team.
• Handle cleaning and preparation of public restrooms, lobbies, and outdoor areas.
• Monitor and restock housekeeping carts and supply closets throughout shifts.
• Uphold health and safety standards, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in hospitality or housekeeping roles.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as furniture or equipment, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
• Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to assist in various areas as needed.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and handling of cleaning equipment and materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Flexible availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
