Objective: Responsible for leading the operations of the Human Resources department, including HR compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and employee engagement. In addition, the HR Manager will oversee the Training Department, ensuring that all training initiatives align with the company’s goals.

 

Classification: This position is a Full-Time Exempt position who reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer.

 

Location:  Howard, Hamilton, or Indianapolis area

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the HR Generalist on day-to-day functions, onboarding structure, and benefits administration.
  • Manage the daily functions of the HR department, including recruitment, HRIS, employee relations, and employee engagement.
  • Maintain, develop, and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and industry standards.
  • Act as a key resource for employees and management, providing guidance on HR-related issues and resolving conflicts.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Partner with Chief Administrative Officer and senior leaders to ensure alignment of HR practices with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Other miscellaneous duties assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer.
  • Assist the Training department and help oversee the design, delivery, and management of training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with the department and other leaders to assess training needs and develop tailored learning initiatives that support departmental objectives and strategies.
  • Work closely with the Training department for creation and management of training materials, tools, and resources to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs and adjust approaches to ensure continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Experience in training and development is a plus.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, compliance regulations, and employee relations.
  2. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
  3. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  4. Experience in designing and implementing training programs and evaluating their effectiveness.
  5. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
