About the Role
The HR Manager is responsible for the overall colleague lifecycle with Draycott Nursing & Care, from the day that our colleagues join the company, throughout their journey with us. A key focus of this role is delivering an HR agenda designed specifically for Draycott Nursing and Care that will meet the commercial needs of the business alongside balancing the needs of the office team and carers & nurses.
The HR Manager will also work closely with the team to ensure that new talent sourced into the business is embedded into the culture and working environment at Draycott, as well as over see the monthly payroll process.
Finally as we are only a small Head office team, this role will also ensure a smooth running the office, managing office supplies, post, IT equipment, and supporting systems, quality and audits projects.
Main Duties
- Guiding management on employee relations and performance management
- Improving, implementing and administering human resources policies and procedures
- Adhering to HR Employment Law Legislation
- Implementing programs to improve the employee experience of the organisation as a workplace
- Handling complaints and disciplinary procedures for the company
- Arranging services for employees, such as counselling services
- Ensuring that our company’s procedures comply with employment regulations & CQC and Domiciliary care standards
- Managing and training the members of the HR reporting into this role
- Monitoring various aspects of an employee’s performance, such as attendance and sick leave
- Setting and reviewing employee perks and benefits
- Provide advice on all manner of HR issues – must have a solid understanding of the key principles of employment law
- Engagement and communication of a diverse and mainly remote workforce
- Maintaining HR Systems and overall HR Compliance standards
- Manage the lifecycle of field base and office staff, delivering a customer centric service, including the recruitment and onboarding process, sickness management, payroll, annual leave, employee relations and training and development, including compliance reporting, organisational structure and design.
- Producing accurate and timely reporting packs, alongside any other reporting requirements
- Reviewing HR budgets in line with Head of HR Operations
- Delivering HR projects to deadlines as agreed with Head of HR Operations
- Ensure a smooth running the office, managing office supplies, post, IT equipment, and supporting systems, quality and audits projects.
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar or comparable role with Human Resources
- Experienced in leading the HR and training functions
- Excellent knowledge of HR best practices and current regulations
- Must have IT and office management background
- Must have good judgement and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused outlook with high level of discretion and professionalism
- The ability to work well with team members and management
- Cultural awareness and excellent interpersonal skills
- Organisational skills for storing and accessing different types of information on a daily basis
Qualifications
CIP Certification or equivalent HR certification
