Big Orange Lab is a digital marketing agency, with a strong focus on web design and development. We specialize in making technology easier so that marketing teams can focus on marketing, without worrying about how to use the technology. Our growing list of clients are B2B SaaS companies that specialize in everything from HR to cybersecurity. 

We’re seeking a customer service oriented project/account manager with agency experience managing the design, development and maintenance of 25 – 50 page websites. This is a freelance position – with the potential of 10-16 hours per week with the potential to move into full-time as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Scoping project requirements and preparing budget accordingly
  • Document task/client requirements presented in an actionable format for designers, developers or SEO specialists 
  • Ability to collaborate with and support both U.S. and international team members to deliver projects on time and in-budget
  • Ensuring the internal team has all necessary assets, fuel and direction for projects’ success and completion
  • Creating project plans and monitoring progress
  • Updating key stakeholders on project status
  • Managing client communications and expectations
  • Partner with clients to meet and exceed their expectations
  • Planning complex digital project from concept to delivery 
  • Acting as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Organize and lead client meetings
  • Ensure prompt and accurate communication with clients and team members
  • Assessing working methods and processes and making recommendations for improvement of digital projects
  • Identifying and implementing KPIs and project milestones
  • Reviewing project resources and providing an analysis on whether they meet the demands of the project
  • Ensure projects are managed in accordance with established internal PMO frameworks
  • Reporting on Google Analytics metrics
  • Developing strong stakeholder relationships and communication channels between the relevant parties
  • Regularly updating key stakeholders on project status and budget implications
  • Analyzing the success of client work, conducting reports and data analysis as supporting evidence
  • Finding opportunities for improvement
  • Take responsibility and ownership of expectations
  • Maintain proper task flow within our project management platform, ClickUp.
  • Independent problem solving
  • Proactive management of day-to-day activities and deadlines of assigned project(s)
  • Escalate issues to management, and partner cross-functionally to quickly resolve issues
  • Support and promote continuous improvement in processes and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to provide your clients with additional services
  • Creating proposals for your clients for new projects

About You

You care deeply about project ownership and accountability, with exceptional attention to detail — and you’ve done it before in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you have:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience managing a wide variety of projects, preferably at an advertising, marketing, digital, or integrated agency
  • Previous experience managing a team of UX designers and developers
  • Understanding of WordPress and HubSpot
  • Strong attention to detail – ability to capture tasks that everyone assumes will be completed
  • Experience managing multiple projects / clients simultaneously
  • Flexible, collaborative, and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously to maintain teamwork and optimal project flow
  • The ability to prioritize (and reprioritize) tasks across many concurrent projects, while maintaining a balanced workload for you and your team
  • Professional demeanor; Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization to achieve broader insights into managing work streams and outcomes
  • A strong understanding of how to identify, communicate, and escalate project risk
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, resolve them quickly, and know when to rely on internal resources to assist
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given
  • Ability to lead meetings and drive processes
  • Adaptability to various tools and technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Docs is essential
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience managing the project life cycle with tools like: ClickUp, Monday, Asana, etc.
  • Understanding of SEO basics
  • Understanding of Web Development Process
  • HubSpot, WordPress(Elementor, Kadence)
  • Bachelor’s degree
