About the job:

Bamboo Family Clinic is seeking an initiative-taking and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. In this role, you will collaborate closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans, which may include exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment to promote their physical and mental well-being. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patients’ needs, set achievable goals, and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout their rehabilitation process. 

 
 

Responsibilities 

  • Perform thorough evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities. 
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients’ specific needs and goals. 
  • Teach patients skills for daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, and cooking. 
  • Monitor and document patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. 
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care. 
  • Educate patients and their families on coping strategies and techniques to promote independence. 
  • Stay current on the latest developments and best practices in occupational therapy. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy. 
  • Valid state occupational therapy license. 
  • Proven experience in assessing and treating patients with a wide range of disabilities. 
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently. 
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach 
  • Detail-oriented and organized. 
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems 
  • Willingness to continuously learn and develop professionally. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage a caseload effectively. 
  • Physical stamina to perform job duties, including lifting and transferring patients as needed.
