JOB DESCRIPTION: Online Web and Digital Developer (Mid-Level)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a qualified and mid-level Online Web and Digital Developer experienced in WIX, WordPress and other related online technologies  to join our dynamic team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a mid-level Online Web and Digital Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring the development of intuitive and user-friendly cloud-based technology solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective design strategies and user experience improvements, focusing on mobile and web-based applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all aspects of website development, management, SEO, and SEM.
• Building and managing WIX sites.
• Front-end development using HTML5, CSS, jQuery.
• Developing and managing WordPress (Plugin/theme development/API).
• Minimizing load times and ensuring cross-browser compatibility of HTML/CSS.
• Identifying areas for improvement and implementing functionality from start to finish.
• Building mobile-optimized/responsive sites with touch screen optimization, retina/high-DPI optimization, and small-screen optimized navigation.
• Integrating Wix with other web-based applications.
• Documenting jobs from start to finish.
• Designing user interfaces (UI) that include interactive elements, animated elements, and other design principles.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-4 years of experience with WIX.
• Proficiency in Wix Studio and Velo Code.
• Strong command of CSS for web styling.
• Experience with Shopify and WordPress platforms.
• Familiarity with web development in various environments.
• Knowledge of PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Experience with XML and modern source control (Git).
• Knowledge of SEO and SEM.
• Experience with tools & libraries such as jQuery, CSS grids, HTML5 Boilerplate, and WordPress starter themes like Bones and Modernizer.
• Experience with third-party APIs.
• Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
• Experience in designing user interfaces (UI) featuring various design principles such as white space, simplicity, chunking, proximity, weight, context, visual cues, signposts, focus, and conventions.

A PLUS IF YOU HAVE:

• Start-up experience (we love entrepreneurs!).
• Experience in working virtually and with a virtual team.
