The Mission:

The Pre-Sales & Technical Sales Specialist role combines the responsibilities of managing pre-sales activities in collaboration with the Sales team, providing technical support in collaboration with Support and Post-Sale team and driving new business opportunities in the NAMER region. The role will require you to evaluate customer needs, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and support both sales and post-sales activities, with a focus on markets such as infrastructure, mining, civil engineering, and railway. The candidate will also support sales operations and enhance the collaboration between sales teams and other departments to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Pre-Sales and Technical Sales:
  • Conduct market research by performing data analysis of prospective customers as well as attending specifics events and making discovery calls to generate new leads.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals, defining the technical solutions for customers.
  • Act as a project manager on key opportunities, driving sales conversions in industries such as mining, civil engineering, and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to the Sales team and customers, ensuring efficient system performance, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts while acquiring new business across various geographical areas in the North America region.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success Team to ensure smooth post-sales support and system maintenance.
  • Identify new business opportunities (B2B and B2C), evangelise clients, and influence decision-makers to expand market share.

 

  1. Product Presentation and Market Intelligence:
  • Organise and deliver product demonstrations and training sessions for current and new customers.
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and client meetings to promote products and services.
  • Gather and report market intelligence, including competitor analysis and customer insights.
  • Prepare and keep track of technical presentation submittals based on the selected strategic events in the territory.  

  1. Sales Operations Support:
  • Support the sales team with data entry and maintaining CRM accuracy, ensuring proper documentation of sales processes.
  • Provide sales tracking, reporting, and process improvement recommendations to help optimise sales performance.
  • Liaise with account managers to develop and execute specific sales strategies.
  • Ensure smooth communication between sales and other departments, helping resolve customer issues and improving cross-functional workflows.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or a similar role, ideally in the infrastructure, mining, or construction sectors.
  • Engineering degree (e.g., Geotechnical or Civil Engineering) preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge, particularly with sensor technologies or IOT solutions.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages such as Mandarin would be advantageous).
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, with Salesforce knowledge being a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 33% of the time, depending on market needs.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Natural curiosity for new technologies and proactive problem-solving abilities.
