Production Director

This full-time position reports directly to the executive pastor. Basic role responsibilities include overseeing the technical aspects of worship service to include church audio, video and lighting (AVL), ensuring proper usage and maintenance of the same. This person will research, develop, implement, maintain, the usage of technology on all social media outlets to build and create engagement.  This person will be responsible for the day-to-day IT/AVL related operations, managing training of volunteers, and maintaining all equipment. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for hands-on, day-to-day, building-wide AVL operations and equipment.
• Recruit, train, encourage, schedule, and coordinate volunteer teams of all ages to assist.
• Responsible for maintaining, storing, setting up and disassembling of all equipment required for worship services and special events.
• Ensuring there is an effective recovery and backup plan as well as documented procedures.
• Stay updated on and recommend new information technology and AVL strategies, policies, and procedures. 
• Proactively identify potential issues and concerns. Perform effective root cause analysis steps to resolve any concerns.
• Manage and forecast budgets and resources related to technical production.
• Provide support for online and/or virtual worship services, as needed.
• Coordinate with pastors, worship leaders, and other church staff to plan and to execute technical aspects of services and events

• Advanced computer hardware and software knowledge and skills.

Requires Competencies:

• Prior experience in a church setting or equitable experience.
• Proficient in Front of House Audio.
• Proficiency in digital AVL systems.
• Proficient in Lighting Design and Programming,
• Proficient in Audio Networking.
• Proficient in Video Routing and Networking.
• Extensive knowledge in Video Production.
