Production Machine Operator

The Thomson-Gordon Group of companies are an innovative 100-year-old family business that is made up of a diverse group of companies/business units involved in the manufacturing of high performance, oil and grease free bearing systems, seals and other shaft line products for the global marine, clean power and industrial markets as well as business aircraft maintenance and video production. We are seeking a motivated machine operator to join our team in Burlington. 

Position Requirements

• Setup and operation of all process equipment
• Retrieval and setup of production molds
• Control the conformity and quality of the manufactured parts
• Ensuring work area is clean and safe from hazards
• Keeping equipment in good working order through scheduled preventative maintenance
• Must be able to react to change quickly and productively
• Responsible for adhering to all Safety Policies and Procedures
• Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Proficiency with use of hand tools

Basic numeracy skills

Able to work standing-up with good manual dexterity

Ability to follow and communicate through written and verbal instruction

Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Previous experience working with casting chemicals preferred but not necessary

Minimum Qualifications

1+ years’ experience in extrusion processing or;

Combination of related education and experience

Must be able to work shifts, 10 or 12-hour rotating

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. This employee is also subjected to lifting and bending.
