Production & Product Development Manager

AERON is an international luxury fashion brand that started its independent operation in the early 2010s. The brand focuses on the design, manufacturing and sales of women’s clothing and accessories. Its influential founder and designer is Eszter Áron who creates refined, feminine, modern, yet elegant contemporary women’s garments.

Production & Product development Manager is responsible for managing the Product Lifecycle by directly overseeing prototyping, sampling, production status and logistics of all product categories. This includes being directly responsible for product transition from CMT to FF model by defining the product strategy through testing of new suppliers and allocating seasonal developments and bulk productions to suitable partners.

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Manage the development teams of luxury RTW collections and accessories in close collaboration with the Design & Production Team.
• Lead the prototyping, sampling and production processes of all product categories and conduct testing of additional categories with new suppliers.
• Manage the product lifecycle and critical path from product launch to production. Assure timely deliveries and report on the status to higher management regularly.
• Manage the workload and overseeing the performance of the Product Developers
• Manage relationships with global manufacturers and raw material suppliers, ensuring that product specifications are met throughout the process.
• Track the launch of prototypes, SMS and production orders, in addition to any special sample requests.
• Manage production orders, ensuring that the finished goods are delivered on time and meet quality standards. Lead quality control of PP samples, pre-shipment samples and finished goods.
• Negotiate FOB prices and minimum order quantities with suppliers to achieve competitive price points.
• Testing new FOB suppliers, launching counter samples, comparing workmanship, fabrications, analyzing costs, lead times and payment terms.
• Oversee the creation and finalization of BOMs and tech packs by tracking and updating all internal and external documentation such as Sampling and Production sheets and ensure that the ERP system is up to date and the records are correct.
• Maintain a close working relationship with Design, Supply Chain, Marketing and Merchandising teams on approvals, deliveries and proactively taking action to avoid any disruptions in the sampling and production process.
• Support Design with technical knowledge of RTW fit, materials and construction during fittings, advising on feasibility, lead time, MOQ, flagging any risks throughout the development process.
• Manage purchase orders in ERP system, reporting on the budget for each category.

Requirements and experience:

• 4-6y experience in similar positions with proven leadership track record
• Associate degree in finance, supply chain or business fields
• Microsoft Office & Google Workspace applications
• Experience of working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central
• Ability to prioritize and manage various stakeholders
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Positive mindset, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
