Project Development Engineer

Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.

What will you help with

• Assist Company Team Members in the development of renewable projects. This includes identifying and managing consultants, developing RFP for specific project needs, collaborating with other disciplines within the organization, identifying constructability issues, estimating, evaluating project development strategies, etc.
• Lead aspects of project execution including feasibility analysis, data collection, engineering, financial, and technical analysis.
• Develop key project deliverables including analysis, reports, and presentations to share with the construction team.
• Support the quality control of deliverables provided by the company team and consultants.
• Analyze and communicate project status, risks, schedule, and costs to the company directors in USA and Spain.
• Assist in leading multi-discipline consultant and consulting engineers.
• Assist within aspects of proposal development and submission including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Assist with in-house acquisition due diligence effort and or handling outside technical advisors including running variances on financial models.
• Assist in the establishment of critical project objectives and performances.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office suite
• Knowledge in PVSyst is preferred.

Who you are

• 4+ years of experience in the development of renewable projects, especially solar photovoltaic and/or BESS and/or Wind.
• Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Someone capable of collaborating with the Development team to provide project support for development, design, and cost estimation activities.
• Someone capable of collaborating with the M&A team in target project diligence
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, manage and interact effectively with multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
